It's a little random at first, but here are some tips to tip (pun intended) the scale in your favour:
1. Passing is an option - if you really don't know, where the vampire is, it can be quite usefully to just ditch the try and get certain 3 blood (×multiplier)
2. Square-help has an interesting mechanic, where it always tries to land in a place, where there are the most cards. Why is that usefully? Well... If you have this situation: (X - discovered, O - undiscovered)

Then, if the top-right corner is he vampire, the square will show you the top-right square. But if it's ANYTHING other, it will ALWAYS show the left-top square (because there are 4 cards instead of 3). So you can use that to your advantage
3. The number tokens have a strange affinity to set themselves to the exact number that there actually is below it. Now, don't take this for granted (I had a few rounds ruined by this thinking). But I actually won more round by doing it, so I guess it's usefull.
4. Play big - this game geniuely treats you really easily. Losing doesn't hurt as much as winning does give you, so (if you're not at the brink of death), you should take SOME risk. But remember about tip 1 XD.
5. Have fun! C'mon, that's why you play, right ;)
Btw, to the devs, if they read this (don't expect that, but hey - let me say some tips): the game is great, though it lacks some features (fe. Difficulty settings). Also, the next vampires don't feel better, they just feel QUICKER (as they give you blood quicker). In my opinion, it'd be interesting if some vampires would give different row abilities, or there'd be some modifications, because for now the game is pretty repetitive. That being said, I'be been playing it for 2+ hours, and I love it!
Small edit: I have a 3-win streak, I think I should stop playing this game, as it shows my gambling addiction too well XD
Love what you’ve built! I’m working on something similar — it’s called TWT Community, a tool that helps people easily create their own communities. Would be great to explore a possible collaboration!
so Ive been playing and like it is a bit like minesweeper, you get info from the abilities and stuff. like if it says nine or higher its a higher chance that is a vampire, but a lot still seems like random chance maybe someone knows.

Very very fun
Also a great example in the breakdown of reason when gambling
Finally beat this game for the first time! By far one of my favorites.
very very fun! didn't read the rules beforehand so struggled at first but loved it once i figued it out.
Is there a download, or is this just a web game?
Does anyone know the value of the vampire card?
10 I think
Thank you I was so confused when it said 3+ and I got a vampire.
yeah it's all luck based pretty much
I lost from 4k because the first card was a vampire every time
Been playing for an hour and I'm hooked.
(lol, I tried to switch to html markdown, to no avail, lol, convert it with your meat brain)
<details>
<summary>possible hint</summary>
I could be wrong, but it seems like the last vampire is most often in rows/columns
with the best hint tokens. He was *almost* always blocking the square </details>
i'm gonna explode. My first time with the second enemy they appear in the same exact spot 3 times in a row just to never do it again (-156ml from 4ml)
HELPPPP
I think I understand but it feels like there's no strategy, thought it was like minesweeper but you dont get enough info, can someone PLEASE explain.
i feel the exact same and i am about to throw my computer out of my window

ok thx
it's all in the itch.io description :)
You'll get the hang of it!
I’m literally addicted help I can’t stop playing this game! Incredible, good work!
Amazing game that throws your inner gambler to fight your inner mathematician :)
as soon as i realise there was a pass button i completed the game. amazing game!
this game is fun but I havent beaten it fully yet. hopefully I can
I didn't need all that blood anyways.
this game should have an ending where if you get to 3000 or 2000 more then 5000 on the last game you should die of having to much blood
also for anyone read double or nothing is never worth it
reel
This is fantastic and is a driving factor in convincing me to pick up some handheld hardware to make a Pico8.
Any plans to port this to Playdate? It would be a perfect fit for that console!
Today I learned that I should never ever go gambling
never mind maybe i love gambling
we sod be friends
I REALLY LOVE THIS GAME
Losing is a part of the game, lose less, gamble only if can afford to lose again.
Nice game. Never been into gambling games, but at leat now I can understand how they work. It was nice to complete.
